It was our privilege in #Sumeria to host Prof. Dr. Hassan Abbas of The Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies at US National Defense University, who presented his excellent views about the current situation of the International Order.
Prof. Abbas addressed the topic from 4 main aspects: A better understanding of the current order, the reality that the current order does not change in depth, but it faces fundamental challenges, and finally, there’s optimal order we should all work to reach.
After this presentation, the participants, who were young academics and researchers, had an in-depth discussion with Prof. Abbas, who answered their questions carefully, and stressed the importance of exchanging ideas among youth and elites from different countries to provide a better mutual understanding to the current global concerns, which is extremely important in achieving stability and strengthening the opportunities of cooperation.
